The stakeholder event aims to bridge the gap between cutting-edge research and practical applications in sustainable pig farming, focusing on the reduction of antibiotic use.

This event will showcase the key findings from the AVANT and PIG-PARADIGM.

Attendance is by registration only. Unregistered individuals will not be admitted.

  1. Morning Session: A deep dive into the science behind innovative strategies to reduce antibiotic use, including high-fibre diets, faecal filtrate transplantation, and gut microbiota interventions. This session will highlight the scientific outcomes of the AVANT and PIG-PARADIGM projects and their implications for sustainable pig farming.
  2. Afternoon Session: A forward-looking discussion on the future of pig production in the EU. This session will focus on integrating scientific advancements into industry practices, addressing challenges in antimicrobial reduction, and considering consumer expectations, economic realities, and environmental impacts.
